I'm hosting a Sketch Crawl Day from my Studio in 71
North Street, Skibbereen, Ireland
Turn up at my
Art Studio at 2:00 pm on Saturday 11th of April 2009
and we'll go sketching around the town until approx. 5:00
when we'll meet back at my Studio for a mug of hot tea or
coffee, cakes and buns (see below*), and to share our
sketches and experiences.
I'll put up a selection of our Sketches onto this web
site as part of the worldwide Sketch Crawl event - with
full credits of course!
No fixed charge for this day, it's by voluntary donation.
It's all about a group of sketching/art enthusiasts getting
together and having fun. It's also a great motivation to
get out there and sketch, draw and paint in response to
whatever we see and experience.
No materials will be supplied so bring your own. Don't
forget this is sketching, it's 'informal' and spontaneous,
so it could be pencil and paper, pen and ink, water colour
washes, crayons, pens or whatever you make marks with.
The general format will be to go around town either on your
own or with a group and sketch whatever catches your eye.
Hopefully you will have a load of sketches done within the
time. Buildings, people, coffee shops, market, places,
things... (I'll be putting up some examples here to inspire
us all, soon).

*If you feel inspired to bring along a few
cakes or buns or whatever to share that would be
great.
